Mark Reed Levin or more commonly known as Mark Levin was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 21 September 1957. He belongs to a Jewish family where Jack E. Levin was his father and Norma Levin was his mother. He has passed his early years in Elkins Park where he lived with a caring Jew family.
He attended Cheltenham High School and graduated from there. He also graduated magna cum laude from Temple University Ambler in 1977 and was Phi Beta Kappa. He obtained his J.D. degree from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 1980.

After passing out of law school, Levin joined Texas Instruments in 1981. He has worked in the administration of President Ronal Regan. He was also the deputy assistant secretary for elementary and secondary education at the US Department of Education and deputy solicitor of the US Department of the Interior.
He joined Landmark Legal Foundation in 1991 and served as the president of the foundation from 1997. He started his radio career as a contributor or legal opinions. Later, he was given a separate show of his name. Mark Levin has written several popular books throughout his career.
