Early Life
Robert Kraft was born on 5 June 1941 in Brookline, Massachusetts. He is the son of Sara Bryna and Harry Kraft. Harry worked as a dress manufacturer in Chinatown, Boston. Sara was from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Robert Kraft was of modern orthodox Jewish descent. He attended Edward Devotion School and then Brookline High School. As a child, he used to sell newspapers. Before graduating from here, he was the senior class president here.
Then he attended Columbia University on an academic scholarship. He was a class president there too. Kraft graduated from Columbia University in 1963 and later joined Harvard Business School. He obtained an MBA from there in 1965.
Professional Life
After graduation, Robert joined the Rand-Whitney group. It was a packaging company run by Jacob Hiatt, his father-in-law. By 1968, Robert took control of the company and is still chairman of the Rand-Whitney group. Then he founded International Forest Products, an export/import company that is currently one of the biggest in the United States.
Robert formed Kraft Group in 1998 which currently operates in 90 countries. In several different steps, he bought New England Patriots in National Football League. Kraft founded New England Revolution, a Major League Soccer team, in 1996.

Personal Life
Robert Kraft met his first wife, Myra Nathalie Hiatt, in 1962. He was in university at that time. During his university life, he married Myra. She was the daughter of Jacob Hiatt, the owner of Rand-Whitney Group where Kraft joined after graduation. Myra was a graduate of Brandeis University.
This couple had four children together. Due to ovarian cancer, Myra died in 2011 at the age of 68. In the next year, Kraft started dating Ricki Noel Lander. She was 39 years younger than Robert. Though she claimed Robert as the father of their child, he denied the claim.
