Early Life
Taskin Ahmed is the only son of Abdur Rashid and Sabina Yasmin. On April 3, 1995, he was born at Mohammadpur, Dhaka. His nickname is Tazim. Taskin completed his SSC and HSC education respectively from King Khaled Institute and Stamford College. Next, he studied at American International University.
Professional Life
At 12, Taskin started his cricket journey on Abahani playground on Jan 10, 2007. Then he played in under 15 and 17 teams. Taskin got selected in the under 19 teams. In 2011 he made his first-class debut for Dhaka Metropolis against Barishal Division. In 2012’s under 19 world cup, Taskin was the highest wicket-taker for Bangladesh.
It was a matter of time for him to be a part of the national side.He first debuted for the national side in t20 format on April 1 2014, against Australia, and on June 17, 2014, against India. He was the first Bangladeshi pace bowler who took five wickets as a debutant in ODI against India. Then he was included in the 2015 world cup team for his domestic cricket performance.
The very next year, in 2016, Taskin got selected in the t20 world cup squad. Later on, he got debuted in the test against New Zealand in 2017. Taskin participates in 2021 t20 wc this year, where he bowls the highest speed at 149 kph. Besides, Taskin played for the different franchise and domestic leagues. He has played for Dhaka Metropolis since 2011.
From 2012-13 he played for Chittagong Kings and from 2015 to 2017 for Chittagong Vikings. Since 2018 he has been playing for Kandahar Knights. In 2019 he played for Sylhet Sixers, and from 2019-20, he played for Rangpur Rangers.
